Indications / Uses:
Used to help control and relieve:

Acute (short-term) non-specific diarrhea

Chronic diarrhea associated with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD)

Excessive stool output in patients with ileostomies or colostomies
Dosage/Directions for use:

Dosage for Adults (18+ years): Initial dosage is 4 mg, followed by 2 mg after each unformed bowel movement. Do not exceed a maximum daily dosage of 16 mg in 24 hours.

Dosage for Kids 9–11 years: Initial and subsequent dosage is 2 mg, three times daily. Do not exceed a maximum daily dosage of 6 mg in 24 hours.

Dosage for Kids 6–8 years: Initial and subsequent dosage is 2 mg, twice daily. Do not exceed a maximum daily dosage of 4 mg in 24 hours.

Not recommended for children under 6 years of age. Maximum treatment duration is generally 5 days for acute symptoms.
