GLYPRIDE - Glimepiride Tablet 2mg
Indications / Uses:
is indicated for the management of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus in adults. It is used when blood glucose levels cannot be adequately controlled through diet modification, regular exercise, and weight management alone. It may be used as monotherapy or in combination with other antidiabetic medications, such as metformin or insulin, to achieve improved glycemic control.

Administration: should be taken with food, preferably before or during the first main meal of the day, to help reduce the risk of hypoglycemia (low blood sugar levels). The tablet should be swallowed whole with water and taken consistently at the same time each day as prescribed by a healthcare professional. Maintaining regular meal patterns is important to support safe and effective blood glucose control.
Contraindications: Glimepiride should not be used in individuals with a known hypersensitivity or allergy to glimepiride, other sulfonylureas, sulfonamides, or any component of the formulation. It is contraindicated in patients with Type 1 diabetes mellitus (insulin-dependent diabetes), diabetic ketoacidosis, diabetic coma, or severe impairment of kidney or liver function. Use should be avoided in conditions where insulin production is insufficient or where the risk of serious complications is increased.
