Indications / Uses
indicated for the management of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus in adults. It is prescribed when dietary modifications, regular physical activity, and weight management alone are not sufficient to achieve effective blood glucose control.

Administration: should be taken with food, preferably before or during the first main meal of the day, to help reduce the risk of hypoglycemia (low blood sugar levels). The tablet should be swallowed whole with water and taken consistently at the same time each day as prescribed by a healthcare professional. Maintaining regular meal patterns is important to support safe and effective blood glucose control.
Contraindications:
Glimepiride should not be used in individuals with a known hypersensitivity or allergy to glimepiride, other sulfonylureas, sulfonamide derivatives, or any component of the formulation. It is contraindicated in patients with Type 1 diabetes mellitus, diabetic ketoacidosis, diabetic pre-coma, or diabetic coma. Use should also be avoided in individuals with severe liver impairment or severe kidney dysfunction, as these conditions may affect the safety and effectiveness of treatment.
