METRAM Metronidazole Tablet 500mg

Indications / Uses: 
Metronidazole 500mg is indicated for the treatment of infections caused by susceptible anaerobic bacteria and protozoa, including amoebiasis, giardiasis, trichomoniasis, bacterial vaginosis, and various anaerobic bacterial infections. It may also be used in combination with other medications for the eradication of Helicobacter pylori.

Dosage/Directions for use:
Adults: The usual dose is 500mg two to three times daily, depending on the type and severity of the infection. Treatment duration generally ranges from 5 to 10 days or as prescribed by a healthcare professional.

Administration: Metronidazole 500mg is administered orally and may be taken with food to reduce gastrointestinal discomfort. Swallow the tablet whole with water and complete the full prescribed course of treatment.

Contraindications: This product is contraindicated in individuals with known hypersensitivity to metronidazole or other nitroimidazole derivatives. Alcohol should not be consumed during treatment and for at least 48 hours after the last dose. Use with caution in patients with severe hepatic impairment or certain neurological disorders.
