ROSCHLOTIN - Rosuvastatin Tablet 40mg

Indications / Uses: 
ROSCHLOTIN Rosuvastatin 40mg is indicated for the treatment of primary hypercholesterolemia, mixed dyslipidemia, and hypertriglyceridemia in patients who require intensive lipid-lowering therapy. It is also used to reduce the risk of major cardiovascular events in high-risk patients when lower doses are insufficient.

Dosage/Directions for use:
Adults: The usual recommended starting dose is 5mg to 10mg once daily. Dosage may be increased after at least 4 weeks based on the patient's response to treatment. The 40mg dose is the maximum recommended daily dose and should only be prescribed for patients with severe hypercholesterolemia at high cardiovascular risk who fail to achieve treatment goals with the 20mg dose.

The 40mg strength is not recommended as an initial dose and should be used only under close medical supervision.

Administration: Rosuvastatin 40mg is administered orally. It may be taken with or without food and should be taken at the same time each day.

Contraindications: This product is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to rosuvastatin or any component of the formulation, active liver disease, persistent unexplained elevations of hepatic transaminases, and during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
