AMBIDAZOLE Metronidazole Suspension 125mg/5mL (60mL)

Indications / Uses: 

Metronidazole Suspension 125mg/5mL is indicated for the treatment of infections caused by susceptible anaerobic bacteria and protozoa. It is commonly used for amoebiasis, giardiasis, trichomoniasis, and anaerobic bacterial infections involving the gastrointestinal tract and other body systems. 

Dosage/Directions for use:

The dosage depends on the patient's age, body weight, and type of infection. Adults and children: The recommended dose should be determined by a healthcare professional. Treatment is usually continued for 5 to 10 days, depending on the infection being treated.

Administration: Metronidazole Suspension is administered orally. Shake the bottle well before use and measure the prescribed dose using an appropriate measuring device. It may be taken with or after food to reduce stomach discomfort.

Contraindications: This product should not be used in individuals with known hypersensitivity to metronidazole, other nitroimidazole derivatives, or any component of the formulation. Alcohol should be avoided during treatment and for at least 48 hours after completing therapy due to the risk of a disulfiram-like reaction. Use with caution in patients with severe liver disease.
