CENVERT - 16 Betahistine Tablet 16mg

Indications / Uses:
CENVERT Betahistine 16mg is indicated for the treatment and management of Ménière’s syndrome, a disorder affecting the inner ear. It helps relieve associated symptoms such as vertigo (spinning sensation or dizziness), tinnitus (ringing or buzzing in the ears), and hearing difficulties. Betahistine is believed to work by improving blood circulation in the inner ear, which may help reduce the severity and frequency of these symptoms.

Dosage/Directions for use:

Adults (18 years and older): The recommended initial dose is 8 mg to 16 mg taken three times daily. The usual maintenance dose ranges from 24 mg to 48 mg per day, divided into 2 or 3 separate doses. The maximum recommended daily dose is 48 mg.

Children and adolescents: Not recommended for individuals below 18 years of age due to limited safety and efficacy information.

Clinical improvement may take several weeks of continuous treatment before noticeable benefits are observed. Dosage should be adjusted according to the patient’s response and as directed by a healthcare professional.

Administration: May be taken with or without food.

Contraindications: CENVERT Betahistine 16mg should not be used in patients with known hypersensitivity or allergy to betahistine or any of the tablet’s ingredients. It is contraindicated in individuals with pheochromocytoma, a rare tumor of the adrenal gland. The medication is also not recommended for patients with active or previous peptic ulcers involving the stomach or intestines.
