CETICIT - Cetirizine Tablet 10mg

Indications / Uses: 

It is indicated for the relief of symptoms caused by allergic conditions such as allergic rhinitis, including sneezing, runny or itchy nose, and itchy or watery eyes. It is also used for the management of chronic urticaria (hives) and other allergic skin reactions in adults and children 6 years of age and older. As a second-generation antihistamine, cetirizine helps reduce symptoms associated with both seasonal and year-round (perennial) allergies by blocking histamine-mediated allergic responses.

Dosage/Directions for use:

Adults and adolescents (12 years and older): The recommended dose is 1 tablet (10 mg) once daily. Do not exceed 1 tablet within 24 hours.

Children 6–11 years: The recommended dose is ½ tablet (5 mg) twice daily or 1 tablet (10 mg) once daily, depending on the severity of symptoms and medical advice. The total dose should not exceed 10 mg within 24 hours.

Ceticit Cetirizine 10mg is not recommended for children below 6 years of age. It should not be used in individuals with severe kidney impairment unless specifically advised by a healthcare professional. The maximum treatment duration is 7 days unless otherwise directed.

Administration: Cetirizine is administered orally and may be taken with or without food. It should be taken according to the prescribed dosing schedule and swallowed with sufficient water. For liquid preparations, use an accurate measuring device to ensure the correct dose is administered. 

Contraindications: Should not be used in individuals with a known hypersensitivity or allergy to cetirizine, hydroxyzine, piperazine derivatives, or any component of the formulation. It is also contraindicated in patients with severe kidney impairment due to the risk of reduced elimination of the medication.
