LOPREXO Metoprolol 100mg Tablet

Indications / Uses: 
Metoprolol 100mg is indicated for the treatment of hypertension, angina pectoris, heart failure, and certain cardiac arrhythmias. It is also used to reduce the risk of recurrent heart attacks and to help control heart rate by blocking the effects of adrenaline on the heart.

Dosage/Directions for use: 
Adults: The usual dose ranges from 50mg to 100mg once or twice daily, depending on the condition being treated. The maximum recommended daily dose is 400mg.

Administration: Administer orally, preferably with or immediately after meals. Swallow the tablet whole with water.

Contraindications: Contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to metoprolol or other beta-blockers, severe bradycardia, second- or third-degree heart block, cardiogenic shock, decompensated heart failure, or severe peripheral arterial disease.
