SAPHZAR- Valsartan Tablet 160mg

Indications / Uses: 
SAPHZAR Valsartan 160mg is indicated for the treatment of essential hypertension, heart failure (NYHA Class II-IV), and for improving survival following myocardial infarction in clinically stable patients with left ventricular dysfunction.

Dosage/Directions for use:
Adults (Hypertension): The recommended starting dose is 80mg to 160mg once daily. The dose may be increased according to clinical response up to a maximum of 320mg once daily.
For heart failure, the usual starting dose is 40mg twice daily, gradually increased as tolerated.

Administration: Valsartan is administered orally and may be taken with or without food.

Contraindications: This product is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to valsartan or any component of the formulation, pregnancy, and in patients with diabetes receiving aliskiren-containing medicines.
