TELMISAPH – 40 - Telmisartan Tablet 40mg

Indications / Uses: 
TELMISAPH-40 Telmisartan 40mg is indicated for the treatment of essential hypertension and for reducing the risk of cardiovascular morbidity and mortality in high-risk adult patients. It helps lower blood pressure by selectively blocking angiotensin II receptors, thereby relaxing blood vessels and improving blood flow.

Dosage/Directions for use:
Adults: The recommended starting dose is 40mg once daily. Depending on the patient's response, the dose may be reduced to 20mg or increased to a maximum of 80mg once daily.

The full antihypertensive effect is usually achieved after 2 to 4 weeks of continuous therapy.

Administration: Telmisartan 40mg is administered orally. It may be taken with or without food and should be taken consistently at the same time each day. Swallow the tablet whole with an adequate amount of water.

Contraindications: This product is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to telmisartan or any component of the formulation, pregnancy, particularly during the second and third trimesters, and in patients with diabetes receiving aliskiren-containing medicines. It is also contraindicated in patients with severe hepatic impairment or biliary obstructive disorders.
