ZINLUM - Zinc Sulfate Syr 60ml

Indications / Uses:

ZINLUM Zinc Sulfate Syrup is indicated for the prevention and treatment of zinc deficiency and as an adjunct to oral rehydration therapy (ORT) in the management of acute diarrhea in children. Zinc supplementation helps reduce the duration and severity of diarrhea, supports normal growth and development, promotes wound healing, and contributes to healthy immune function.

Dosage/Directions for use:

Infants below 6 months: The recommended dose is 10mg elemental zinc once daily for 10 to 14 days during episodes of acute diarrhea.

Children 6 months and older: The recommended dose is 20mg elemental zinc once daily for 10 to 14 days during episodes of acute diarrhea.

For the treatment or prevention of zinc deficiency, the dosage should be determined by the physician according to the patient's age, nutritional status, and clinical condition.

Administration: ZINLUM Zinc Sulfate Syrup is administered orally. Shake the bottle well before each use. Measure the prescribed dose using the supplied measuring device or an appropriate oral syringe. It may be taken with or after meals to reduce stomach upset. Continue the full recommended course even if diarrhea improves earlier.

Contraindications: This product is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to zinc sulfate or any component of the formulation. It should be used with caution in patients receiving medications that may interact with zinc, such as tetracycline or quinolone antibiotics, as zinc may reduce their absorption.
