BETAZAR - Betahistine Tablet 24mg

Indications / Uses:
BETAZAR Betahistine 24mg is indicated for the management of Ménière’s syndrome, an inner ear disorder characterized by symptoms such as vertigo (dizziness or spinning sensation), tinnitus (ringing in the ears), and hearing impairment. It is also used for the symptomatic treatment of vestibular vertigo. Betahistine is believed to improve blood flow within the inner ear, helping to reduce pressure changes and alleviate associated symptoms.

Dosage/Directions for use:

Adults (18 years and older): The recommended daily dose is 24 mg to 48 mg, usually divided into 2 or 3 doses taken throughout the day.

Children and adolescents: Not recommended for individuals below 18 years of age due to limited information regarding its safety and effectiveness in this age group.

Symptom improvement may take several weeks of continued treatment, and optimal therapeutic effects may be achieved after a few months of regular use. Dosage adjustments should be based on the patient’s response and the advice of a healthcare professional.

Administration: Betahistine may be taken with or without food.

Contraindications: should not be used in patients with known hypersensitivity or allergy to betahistine or any component of the product. It is also contraindicated in individuals with pheochromocytoma, a rare tumor of the adrenal gland.
